Little Phil's Sky Sail
Sale of Parasail equipment, Harnesses and Creative parachutes
Phillip Silvestro was the first to introduce parasailing commercially in 1974 to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
The parasail was first introduced in 1960 by Pierre Lamoigne.
In 1965 Phil saw Astronauts using the parasails as a form of training for parachuting.
They used to tow the parasail by a long rope then release the rope and descend like a parachute.
After Phil had seen this demonstration he was very keen to try it.
Parasailing is one of the popular sports with holiday resorts around the world for the young, and also the not so young.
Most of the control of the parasail is done by the boat operator so you can simply sit back and enjoy the view.
In 1970 Phil started flying small planes, doing acrobatic flying and air sports involving Hang Gliding, Gyro crafting Sky Diving and Parasailing.
He tried to convert some of the old parachutes into Parasails and some of which he had purchased overseas.
Since then he has been involved in the display of Joy flights and testing of parasails for Parachute Australia and later for Sala International, who I believe were one of the best Parasails.
Phil has some old stock parasails.
